Acupuncture
Traditional acupuncture involves inserting extremely thin stainless steel, disposable needles into specific points on the surface of the skin. This ionic transfer sets in motion an elegant interplay of the body's own energies, restoring balance to the body, mind and spirit. This age-old system of medicine has stood the test of thousands of years and yet continues to rise above and improve health even in our modern western culture.

This sophisticated yet subtle method of treatment is so effective because of its focus on each individuals particular needs. According to the leading Taoist, Chuang Tse, in the 4th century B.C.

Natures differ,
and needs with them,
Hence the wise men of old
Did not lay down
One measure for all.

Your treatment will be tailored to address your specific imbalances, and will revitalize you in a relaxed atmosphere.
Moxabustion
Moxabustion is a technique that utilizes a moss-like substance, Moxa. Moxa is made from an herb called Artisma Vulgarias. It is burned directly on the skin and creates a soothing and warming sensation. In practice moxa is used to increase energy and speed recovery from illness and injury.
Cupping
Cupping therapy is used to relieve tension in the tight muscles of the neck, back, arms and legs. A vacuum is created in a glass cup and the cup is placed directly on the skin. The cup pulls out stagnant blood that is trapped in the tight muscular tissue. Cupping can also be used to diminish the appearance of cellulite. It can create a non-painful circular mark that resembles a bruise on the area treated that dissipates in a short period of time.
Therapeutic Massage
A well-trained massage practitioner employs his hands as finely tuned yet powerful tools to promote wellness. As awareness grows and misconceptions fade regarding the value of massage therapy, more and more people are discovering the profound benefits available to them through regular body work. The origins of therapeutic massage are rooted in the common instinctual response to hold and rub a hurt or pain. It is found in all cultures as an integral part of health care and maintenance. Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, considered massage of prime importance in any health regime. Galen and the Romans also greatly prized the healing benefits of massage. With the re-emergence of holistic health theories and therapies, therapeutic massage is experiencing a renaissance and is regaining its rightful place among health care practitioners.
